Ultima Online provides an open world experience where you are literally free to do whatever the hell you want to do. Basically, where UO falls in the visual graphics department, it more than makes up for in other areas. Being a 2D sprite game, if you play UO it is all about the content - which is unmatched. Ultima Online offers an experience I have yet to find in any other game. People are helpful to get you to the server that is right for your playstyle! UOAlive is very "new to UO" and "new game" friendly. Check out the community discord if you want to even discuss going elsewhere. It boasts a healthy population but more importantly a respectful and safe zone where everyone is welcome. Consensual only PvP and the most modern UO with zero pay to win or micro transactions it may be for you. So if you want a friendly community come on over! You can always leave if ya hate it! If you want to try out the Retail version of the game for free, I highly recommend mind you there is no non consensual PVP which many will say is against the core of the game, but with so many PvE encounters now, we believe community is greater than toxicity that PvP can lead to sadly. Left click right click, drag drop, etc.īut what it lacks in UIX it makes up in with pure content, beautiful moments, and just freedom to finally be a sandbox mmo in a sea of "not really" mmos. Also remember this was made a long time ago so the user interface is a bit dated, think interactions similar to Windows ME. There were no quests, no goals, just a world to explore and create your own daily check list of ToDos. It was based off the journey not the destination. Let's put it this way: Ultima Online was a one of a kind. If you would like your website or resource included in the sidebar please message the moderators.
